- The capability gap
You bought the platforms. The capability didn't come with them
Organisations have invested heavily in digital platforms and AI tools, but capability has not kept pace with technology. Teams are strong at delivery yet under-developed in the product thinking that turns tools into advantage: discovery, prioritisation, roadmapping, metrics and stakeholder alignment, plus the AI fluency to use it all strategically.
The result is predictable:
- Expensive technology that is under-leveraged and under-adopted.
- Initiatives that stall in the gap between pilot and scale.
- Teams executing activity without driving measurable business outcomes.
47%
Skills gaps, not tech, slow AI down

- The solution
A programme built to close exactly that gap
Enterprises are rich in tools and poor in the product and AI capability needed to exploit them. DPCT is a hands-on, cohort-based journey that transforms technology professionals into confident digital product leaders.
At its core is the proprietary Digital Product Capability (DPC) Framework, a five-layer model that maps, for the first time, exactly what “product capability” means across an enterprise and how to build it deliberately.
Rather than teaching product management as abstract concepts, DPCT turns your real business context into applied skill, session by session, until your teams stop executing tasks and start driving digital products that move the business.
The Digital Product Capability (DPC) Frameworkâ„¢
Five interconnected layers of enterprise product capability
- The five capabilities
What "product capability" actually means, mapped across the enterprise
Each layer is assessed, developed and measured. Together they move an organisation from tool ownership to outcome ownership.
Industry Forces
You handle the delivery side and now want to become a digital product manager — steering the commercial and strategic decisions on the product.

Team Effectiveness
You're newly appointed and want to sharpen deliverable skills while managing multiple stakeholders — preparing for your next leadership role.
Product Performance

- Who it's for
Built for the teams expected to turn technology into outcomes
DPCT is designed for digital & technology and L&D leaders in large, non-tech enterprises, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, industrials, who have capable delivery teams but need to lift them into product-led, AI-fluent ways of working. It’s for the leader who is done funding pilots that never scale, and for the team ready to own outcomes, not just tickets.

- The challenges we solve
If your teams are wrestling with these, DPCT is built for you
The signals we hear most often from digital and technology teams, grouped into the capability gaps DPCT closes.
Unclear roles & ownership
- Roles blur across PM, BA, PO and Tech, with vendor-heavy delivery and no true product ownership.
- Products exist but their owner and lifecycle stage are unclear.
- Limited autonomy, heavy reliance on approvals and slow decisions.
Tasks, not outcomes
- A project mindset dominates: work is driven by tasks and outputs, not outcomes.
- High BAU and reactive work leave little bandwidth for innovation.
- Difficulty saying no, so everything is treated as urgent.
No value or metrics focus
- No clear business-aligned KPIs, with focus on time and budget over value.
- Business value is not clearly defined or communicated.
- Delivery is measured by outputs, with unclear success metrics.
Vision & stakeholder misalignment
- No shared product vision across technology and the business.
- Misalignment on scope, priorities and timelines across teams.
- Friction, vendor dependency and unmet expectations across stakeholders.
Silos & inconsistent ways of working
- Siloed teams across Sales, Supply and Analytics, with weak collaboration.
- Hybrid Agile and Waterfall confusion, with no clarity on when to use what.
- Different teams working in different ways.
Tools, data &
AI not leveraged
- AI tools are available but not integrated into core PM and BA workflows.
- Fragmented tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Excel, Jira) used inconsistently.
- Weak data foundation and unclear user journeys, so analytics rarely drive decisions.

Onkar Singh Lohtham
Co-founder, Digital Skills Mastery
Hi guys,
I’m Onkar, your product coach and lead trainer at Digital Skills Mastery (DSM)—an academy focused on helping digital professionals like you build meaningful, future-ready product careers. I’m excited you’re here because my mission is to equip you with the tools, mindset, and support to lead in the age of AI and innovation.
With over 20 years of experience in global product leadership, I’ve worked across industries and continents to build and scale multimillion-pound digital solutions. My roles have spanned software engineering, business analysis, product management, and CPO. Today, I bring that depth into every training we run at DSM.
Â
My Recent Work: Building AI-First Products
Over the past 18+ months, I’ve led the design and development of three AI-powered SaaS products:
- AI Code Monitor – Built for CTOs and Delivery Heads, this GenAI-powered product helps organisations track, manage, and quantify the use of AI-generated code. I co-created its product strategy, AI rules engine, ROI models, user journeys, and led product demos with C-suite stakeholders.
- Dev AI Code Widget – A developer tool that detects the percentage of GenAI code in a developer’s environment. I defined the user stories, testing plan, and release roadmap to ensure clean integration into developer workflows.
- CXO Intelligence Platform – A unified CXO dashboard providing real-time, AI-driven insights into engineering productivity, efficiency, and GenAI usage. I worked hands-on with data scientists to design and build the insights feature set that turns raw data into clear executive intelligence.
This work has deepened my expertise in applied GenAI for software development, B2B product design, prompt engineering, and full lifecycle execution of AI-first platforms. I now bring those same principles into DSM to help you stay ahead.
Â
How That Translates to You
At DSM, our tools and techniques are built from real projects like these. Whether you’re leading agile teams, managing complex backlogs, launching new initiatives, or transitioning into AI-powered product roles, I’ll help you break it down and build it up—with clarity, confidence, and hands-on strategy.
From New York to Delhi and Amsterdam to Hong Kong, I’ve worked with teams across the world to lead multi-location agile transformations and build innovative, scalable digital products. My core strength lies in combining the art and science of product management—and I’d love to help you master both.
I hold a B.E. (with Distinction) and an MBA (with Distinction), and I am also a certified leadership coach. I run product training sessions in the UK, Germany, and India, speak at Agile events, and regularly blog on product leadership. Looking forward to working with you!
Himani Tiwary
Co-founder, Digital Skills Mastery
Hello there,
Lovely to see you here. I’m Himani—your product coach and trainer at Digital Skills Mastery. At DSM, we offer actionable resources, hands-on training, and personalised coaching to help you thrive in your product career, especially in the fast-evolving world of AI.
With over 18 years in digital product roles—across business analysis, product ownership, and head of product—I’ve led global product teams and launched multimillion-pound digital solutions from the ground up. This experience shapes everything we teach at DSM.
Recently, my consulting work has focused on AI-first product development—from building AI search assistants and intelligent agents to crafting B2B-specific prompt systems and AI-generated insights. I help teams design and deliver AI-powered platforms that solve real problems for real users. This deep, hands-on experience informs our mission at DSM:
To help you master AI across the full product lifecycle—Discover, Design, Define, and Deliver—and lead with clarity and confidence in today’s digital product management market.
Back in 2013, after nearly a decade in corporate roles, I co-founded Product Hub Hob with Onkar in London. Since then, we’ve grown into DSM—an academy and consulting practice rooted in real-world product leadership. I lead our training strategy, client engagement, and support teams, while continuing to research, teach, and build alongside our learners.
I believe transformation comes from doing, not just learning. That’s why DSM is structured around real application, expert guidance, and ongoing community support.
My goal is to help you unlock your potential through a product management success blueprint that’s grounded in experience and powered by the future. I’m an Electronics & Communication engineer (BIT Mesra), MBA graduate (SCMHRD), and NLP coach (UK).
